Something Good Can Come Out Of Something Bad

This 2008 3-D animated film about the dream of reaching the unreachable and about the fact that something good can evolve from something bad certainly gives us food for thought.

The two main characters are flowers, one voiced by Whoopi Goldberg and the other bu Christy Scott Cashman who grow on the edge of a clearing next to one another. One is old and jaded by a mysterious history, the other still young, vivid and very curious. Destiny has brought these two flowers together and it seems as if they would exist without possibility for change, until one day a visitor to the clearing brings something unexpected to their lives.

Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge. –Eckhart Tolle
I wasn’t afraid to fail. Something good always comes out of failure. –Anne Baxter

How often do we ourselves feel stuck, like nothing is going to change and things will never get better? This short film teaches us that in the blink of an eye, in our darkest moments our destiny can change.

It also teaches us about acceptance, perception and sacrifice as well as the circle of life.

Viewers of this beautiful short film see it from different prospectives. What perspective did you see it from and what did you take from watching it?

Even the most seemingly unpleasant situations – if you become aligned with it, something good will emerge from that. –Eckhart Tolle
