You may possess skills and knowledge that have not been acquired through formal learning, (e.g., through work experience and/or other related learning that has not been formally certificated). This means that you may be able to proceed directly to assessment without further study, using evidence from un-certificated learning. We will advise learners if wethink this may apply to them.

How are the Practical Elements of the course delivered?

Practical elements are brought to life in a treatment room environment which enhances the learning experience. Therefore Complusory Interactive Treatment room sessions will be accessed by attending sessions at our centre over a period of 17 days or 3 hours per week, evenings or weekends for 34 weeks with one of our tutors, Joanne Lee or Cindy Vernon.

What is a Portfolio of Evidence?

A portfolio of evidence is a record of supporting information to confirm that you have the skills necessary to complete your qualification. Not all VTCT qualifications require you to build a portfolio and we will advise you appropriately. It can either be built in the form of hardcopy evidence or as an e-portfolio. We use a secure Dropbox folder for each individual learner where evidence in the form of written assignments, case studies etc. can be uploaded for the tutor, assessor, IQA and VTCT’s EQA can access them for sampling the learners progress.

Are there any exams?

Upon completion you will be required to attend our Assessment centre here in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester to sit two external and invigilated multiple choice exam papers and internal observations as your final assessment.

Do you offer interest free payment plans?

Yes we offer a number of Interest Free Payment Plans which will help you spread the cost over several months if that’s what your financial situation calls for. Terms and conditions apply.

When do I attend the Centre for the Practical Elements?

Once you begin working through the theory elements your tutor will contact you to schedule the dates and times for your practical elements. These dates and times will be scheduled to fit in with the learner, where possible. Many times this leads to one to one tutor sessions, for which we make no extra charge!
